McLaren 720S Spider Gets Extra Strength From Novitec, Plus New Visuals

The McLaren 720S Spider is one of the world’s fastest convertibles. In fact, it’s capable of hitting 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds, and that’s without any aftermarket modifications.

Of course, Novitec aren’t in the business of leaving well enough alone, so after taking a look at the 720S’ twin turbocharged V8 engine, they decided that more power was in order – to the tune of 806 PS (795 HP) and 878 Nm (647 lb-ft) of torque. Meanwhile, top speed is now 346 km/h (215 mph).
What about 0-62 you ask? That now takes place in just 2.7 seconds, which is a hypercar-worthy number.
This 720S Spider’s production bumper is complemented by a custom front spoiler, front blade and side flaps, reducing front-axle lift at high speed. The tuner also added forged carbon inserts for the headlights, the N-LARGO trunk lid and forged carbon housings for the side mirrors. The car also boasts new side air intakes, carbon rocker panels, custom wing, rear spoiler lip, carbon diffuser and diffuser fins, plus the carbon side panels for the rear fascia.
